An idea shaped by adults' experience.
Adults told Dr. Eddie they were using his pediatric medicated wash on their own beards and scalps. Their feedback drew his attention to dandruff care within an adult grooming routine, including the skin beneath facial hair.
That experience sparked Facial Fortress. He worked with an R&D team to develop a medicated wash for men's face, hair and beard, carrying forward the attention to skin comfort that shaped his earlier product development.
The Happy Cappy connection.
Dr. Eddie is the founder and CEO of Pediatric Solutions, LLC, the company behind Happy Cappy and Facial Fortress. He founded the company and began developing Happy Cappy in 2014, with the first medicated wash launching in 2018.
His experience developing products for children's sensitive skin provided the foundation for Facial Fortress. The adult brand gives that experience a focus on beard, facial and scalp care.

Dr. Eddie has practiced pediatrics continuously since 2010 and continues to see patients in Houston while leading Pediatric Solutions, LLC.
His clinical experience includes diagnosing and managing pediatric seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, cradle cap and atopic dermatitis. Caring for children with these concerns informs his attention to sensitive skin, clear explanations and routines families can follow. At Facial Fortress, he applies that perspective to product development for adults.
